Guests were Paul Rabaiotti & Geraint Norman and Tom & S.U.C.C. x 3.
We rode to Loughor Bridge and into Carmarthenshire. Along the coast road and onto the Milennium Bike path to Pembrey. Back onto the main road, where the pace picked up for the Kidwelly sign. Simon H. turned off here. Through the town and up the hill to Broadway and down the other side and onto our stop at Ferryside. Paul & Geraint turned back here.
Refreshments were taken alfresco, in the spring sunshine which reached 20 degrees outside the Ferry Cabin cafe. John took the healthy option with his usual plate of chips.
Back on the coast road and bike path to Kidwelly, before returning briefly on the main road, with Jonny at the head of the group. Left along the valley road through Pinged, Carway and past Ffos Las and through Pontyates & Pontyberem. Phil G. laid down the gauntlet by taking the Tumble sign, but couldn’t finish off the ‘Tumble double’ by taking the Upper Tumble sign, at the top of the mile long climb. We rode onto Llannon and the rollercoaster road to Hendy, where new recruit Lee was in the mix for the sign. Onto Pontardulais and home.
